Dearborn Heights — A peacock that was spotted wandering has been captured.

WDIV-TV reports representatives from the Michigan Duck Rescue and Sanctuary caught the bird Wednesday afternoon in Dearborn Heights.

The peacock wasn’t causing problems, but had been surprising area homeowners. Sandy Vanassche says the “beautiful bird” got onto her roof.

The station says the peacock usually lives in a courtyard at Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn, but it got away during construction at the school.
