Presbyterian Villages of Michigan nursing homes will sell its Redford facility this fall, resulting in the termination of 156 employees.

The facility, which is located at 25330 West Six Mile and includes skilled nursing home, assisted living and memory care units, will be sold October 1.

According to a Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification filed with the state on August 4, the new owners intend to offer employment to all those who are affected by the sale.

It was not clear from the notice why the facility is being sold or who is purchasing it. A message left for the company’s regional director of marketing was not immediately returned.

Presbyterian Villages of Michigan is a non-profit, faith-based organization that offers retirement home living, senior care and memory care through 25 different facilities across the state. The company was founded in 1945.
