The Lions fell short of their expectations with a 7-9 record in 2015, but along the way, some players contributed more than others.

Many guys played well in the second half of the season as the Lions finished 6-2. Conversely, the team improvement showed that some players should have had bigger or smaller roles earlier in the season.

This is a list of players who provided the most value to the Lions last season. Starters who played a large role typically finished high on the list because availability is the best ability in the NFL, though some players were lower on the list for being liabilities.

Some players, like linebacker DeAndre Levy, didn’t make the list because their contributions were too small over the course of the season, and players who were cut before the end of the year, like offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle weren’t included either.
