Man charged in slaying of Uber driver to face trial

Detroit — A 23-year-old man charged in the fatal shooting of an Uber driver in Detroit will face trial on a murder charge and other crimes.
A judge Thursday said there’s enough evidence to send Dajuan Watson to trial in the death of Modou Diagne.
Police in March found Diagne inside an SUV on Detroit’s west side, a victim of many gunshot wounds. Prosecutors say Watson had requested the Uber driver pick him up and then shot him during an altercation.
