The Red Wings’ Teemu Pulkkinen hasn’t forgotten how to score goals.

A frequent healthy scratch the second half of the season and playoffs, Pulkkinen scored two goals Tuesday in Finland’s 3-2 victory over Team USA in a world championship exhibition game in Helsinki.

Pulkkinen scored six goals in 36 games this season but failed to win a regular spot in the lineup late in the season.

Both of Pulkkinen’s goals were on the power play.

Former Michigan player JT Compher had one of Team USA’s goals. Dylan Larkin had three shots on net, but didn’t get on the scoresheet.

Both teams open tournament play Friday – Team USA against Canada and Finland against Belarus.
