Tigers get tails wagging with 'Bark at the Park'

The Detroit News

Fans will be able to bring their best friend of the four-legged variety to Comerica Park at the first "Bark at the Park Night" when the Tigers host the Mariners Tuesday, June 21. First pitch is 7:10.

Kate Upton, whose fiance Justin Verlander pitches for the Tigers, is a good friend to the dog community as shown at a dog adoption event during spring training in Florida. The Tigers will host "Bark at the Park" June 21 at Comerica.

For $40, one adult and one dog will be admitted to the "Bark at the Park" area, which will include water stations, dog restrooms and other amenities. A postgame dog walk around the bases will take place. The package also includes an exclusive Tigers dog bandana. The $40 ticket only includes one dog. Additional tickets can be purchased.

A limited supply of tickets will go on sale starting Thursday. "Bark at the Park" packages can only be purchased online: tigers.com/dog. No day-of-game sales will be allowed.

All participants must provide a copy of all up-to-date vaccinations upon check-in (entry will not be granted without this printed information).
