Allen Park — Lions coach Jim Caldwell declined to provide an update on the team’s visit with veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin this week.

Boldin had a free-agent visit earlier this week as the team continued to look at options to improve the depth at wide receiver.

“We don’t talk about things that happen in terms of who we bring in and those kinds of things,” Caldwell said.

Caldwell worked with Boldin in 2012 with the Baltimore Ravens. The 35-year-old receiver had 69 catches for 789 yards last season with San Francisco, his fewest receptions since 2012 and lowest yardage total since 2004.

The Lions altered their plans Thursday, holding a walkthrough instead of a full practice for their third and final day of mandatory minicamp. The walkthrough was not open to the media.

Now, with minicamp complete, non-rookies can go on vacation for the next month before reporting to training camp on July 28. Rookies still have another week of work in Allen Park.
