Troy — A Troy man missing since Tuesday has been found in his home and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The family of Michael Krzyzowski, 66, expressed concern since he was supposed to take heart medication daily, but had not had any for days.

Krzyzowski’s brother, Marian, said he found his brother at home Friday. He was last seen at lunch with his sister and elderly mother at the family’s summer home in Cross Village southwest of Mackinaw City. He went out to do some shopping and never returned, his brother said.

Michael Krzyzowski has a cellphone but had not returned calls, including from his trusted doctor of many years “which is also very troubling because he also returns his calls,” Marian Krzyzowski said.

Michael Krzyzowski was driving a beige 2006 Toyota Corolla.

Phone records indicate the cellphone traveled back to the Troy area Wednesday but police went to the man’s house and found no evidence he had been there. The cellphone records next indicate it went north to the Birch Run shopping center in the Saginaw area.

A missing person report was filed with the Emmett County Sheriff’s Office, Marian Krzyzowski said.
