The Lions made a practice squad transaction on Friday, re-signing offensive lineman Chase Farris and releasing running back George Winn.

Farris, an undrafted rookie out of Ohio State, spent the majority of the offseason with the Lions, but was one of the players cut when rosters were trimmed to 75 players following the third preseason game.

Winn, a metro Detroit native, had spent parts of three years with the Lions, bouncing between the practice squad and main roster. He’s appeared in 19 games for the team, recording 23 carries for 74 yards. He’s also been a key contributor on special teams. He lost his role this offseason to seventh-round draft pick Dwayne Washington.
