Tigers-Indians makeup game would start 1:10 p.m. Monday

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus inspects the field at Comerica Park with Indians manager Terry Francona and umpire Hunter Wendelstedt on Thursday.

The  Tigers  announced that the makeup game on Monday against the Indians will start at 1:10 p.m. at Comerica Park. The game will only take place if it has bearing on postseason seedings.

As a result of a clarification that became effective for this season, Major League Baseball requires all 162 games to be played if a game impacts seeding/home-field advantage for the postseason, the Tigers said in a statement. If a game would have no impact on seeding/home-field advantage, then MLB would not require the game to be played.

All paid tickets from the postponed game of Thursday will be honored for the Monday game at Comerica Park. No ticket exchange is necessary.

If the game is not made up or if fans are unable to attend the rescheduled game, they may exchange their unused tickets at any time for a future non-premium regular season game scheduled to be played within 12 months from Friday’s date, excluding Opening Day.
