Power was restored ahead of schedule for around 12,000 DTE Energy customers who lost power early Tuesday afternoon in Macomb County, according to the company.

The homes and businesses in New Baltimore and Chesterfield Township lost power due to “problems with a high-voltage power line that provides electricity to two substations,” officials said in a tweet shortly after 12:15 p.m.

The company predicted the outage would be reversed by 1:30 p.m. for about half of the affected customers, but all service was restored by just after 1 p.m., according to a follow-up tweet.

The outages were centered north of Selfridge Air Base and west of Anchor Bay in north Lake St. Clair.
