Reverse! Skip Bayless tweets about Washington win

Detroit -- Oh, Skip.

Skip Bayless, the polarizing talking head for Fox Sports 1, ticked off some Detroit Lions fans Sunday when he congratulated, on Twitter, Washington on its victory at Ford Field.

Say, what?

That's right. After Kirk Cousins scampered for a go-ahead score late in the fourth quarter, Bayless tweeted that Cousins "pulled off another YOU LIKE THAT?" He added, "(Washington) wins. I'm impressed."

Problem is, there was still time on the clock for Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who quickly drove down the field and secured the 24th fourth-quarter or overtime comeback victory of his career.

He found Anquan Boldin for an 18-yard touchdown pass with 16 seconds, securing a 20-17 Lions victory.

It's the third win in a row for Detroit, which is over .500, at 4-3, and back in the playoff picture.

What a finish! Stafford rallies Lions in final minute

Give Bayless credit on this: He didn't delete the tweet, and pretend it never happened.

After a follow-up tweet to his premature declaration -- "I like THAT, Kirk Cousins" -- Bayless acknowledged Stafford's heroics had cancelled out his earlier tweet.

The responses to his original tweet were, as you can expect, quite comical.

Even the Detroit Lions tweeted at him, "#Lions win*"

Bayless, who has 2.26 million Twitter followers but follows nobody, recently left ESPN to join Fox Sports 1, which is reportedly paying him more than $20 million over the next four years.

He co-hosts "Undisputed" along with Shannon Sharpe on weekday mornings.
