Man killed after being shot in head in car on east side

Detroit homicide detectives are working to identify a man found shot in his car early Monday morning.

The unidentified man was found dead inside his gray Mercury Sable about 1 a.m. at the corner of Somerset and Cornwall, which is on Detroit’s east side, south of East Warren, east of Alter.

EMS declared the man, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head, dead at the scene, said Michael Woody, director of media relations for the Detroit Police Department.
