Tips sought to find 2 missing Detroit men

Detroit police are working to find two senior citizens missing since last week.

Duane Smith, 72, has been missing since Friday

Relatives last saw Duane Smith at his home on the 17800 block of St. Aubin at about 8 a.m. Friday, investigators said.

The 72-year-old has diabetes, high blood pressure and may be suicidal, according to a notice police issued Monday.

He is described as an African-American, 5-foot-5, 180 pounds, with brown eyes, a light brown complexion and salt-and-pepper hair.

Police believe he may be traveling in a silver 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser with the license plate number DNS5276.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-1140.

Gerald Carver, 65, was reported missing Friday

In another case, Gerald Carver was last seen at his home on the 700 block of Clairmount at 4 p.m. Friday.

Authorities said he is in good physical condition but has schizophrenia.

Carver is described as an African-American, 65 years old, 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, with a light complexion, full beard and mustache, black/gray hair.
