Lions tight end Eric Ebron returned to practice.

Allen Park — The Detroit Lions got some good news and some bad news at Wednesday’s practice. Three starters who have been out multiple weeks — running back Theo Riddick, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and tight end Eric Ebron — were all on the field. All three were limited.

Riddick (ankle) and Ngata (shoulder) have missed the past two games. Ebron has been sidelined three straight games with knee and ankle injuries.

But the team was also down six players, including four starters. Wide receiver Marvin Jones, right tackle Riley Reiff, linebacker DeAndre Levy and cornerback Darius Slay all sat, as did backup offensive linemen Joe Dahl and Corey Robinson.

Reiff is dealing with an illness, while Jones was out for a personal reason. He and his wife had been expecting the birth of the their fourth child this week.

Slay is still dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him during the second quarter of last weekend's win over Washington. His status for Sunday’s game in Houston is in doubt. If he can’t go, he’ll be replaced in the lineup by Johnson Bademosi.
