Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $1,000 reward for tips leading to a suspect who authorities say stole a diamond ring from a Roseville jewelry store this month.

The man allegedly entered a Zales at the Macomb Mall on Oct. 12 and acted like a customer, officials said in a statement.

“The suspect took the ring after asking the clerk to see it and ran out of the mall towards 14 Mile Road,” the release read.

Investigators on Wednesday released surveillance photos of the suspect, who is described as an African-American man, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds. He has long dreadlocks in a ponytail and his head shaved on the sides.
