Lansing — Police say they suspect a 28-year-old man killed the mother of their two children and another man at a Lansing home before killing himself.

Officers went to the home about 1:15 a.m. Friday to check on the welfare of a resident. Police say they found a woman and two men who appeared to have been fatally shot.

According to preliminary information from investigators, police say they believe Marcus Jamal Osby fatally shot 29-year-old Latoy Mesha Tate and 25-year-old Xazier Charles Dean. Autopsies are planned in the next day or two.

Police say Osby and Tate had two children, but they weren’t at the home at the time.

Police earlier said that they didn’t believe there is was ongoing public safety concern and no one was being sought in the investigation.
