Outlook: The Red Wings extended its points streak to five games after losing four straight and nine of 11. Detroit lost 2-1 in overtime against Florida on Thursday. “We should feel very lucky that we got one,” Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall said. The Red Wings went ahead 1:23 into the game when Henrik Zetterberg scored on their first shot, ending a six-game drought. “We weathered the storm,” Rowe said. “The beginning of the game they came out hard on us, but we were able to get out of the first period with a tie.” . . . . Sidney Crosby put Pittsburgh ahead to stay with a dazzling score in the second period, and the Penguins beat the Stars 6-2 on Thursday night. “There aren’t too many players in the league that would even think to make that type of play,” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. “It’s a heads-up play by an elite player that thinks the game at an extremely high level and differently than most.”
