The Detroit News

Ford Motor Co. officials are investigating a blaze at the Dearborn Stamping Plant that injured a worker Tuesday afternoon.

A propane-filling station caught fire outside of the facility on Miller, said Kelli Felker, a spokeswoman for the company.

An employee received burns and was taken to the hospital, she said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, Felker said.

The plant, which opened in 1939, has 2.7 million square feet, employs more than 400 workers and is involved in the production of the F-150 / Super Duty, Focus, Navigator and Expedition, according to the Ford website.
