Reward offered in Farmington Hills missing woman case

The parents of a missing Farmington Hills woman appealed to the public Wednesday for information that could bring their daughter home.

“I plead as a mother, from the deepest of my heart. Help us bring Danielle home,” said Ann Stislicki, mother of Danielle Stislicki, who was last seen Friday in Southfield. “There is a huge community out here that Danielle belongs to and we need to go ahead and bring her home.”

At a news conference Wednesday at the Farmington Hills Police Department, Richard and Ann Stislicki described their daughter as exuberant, funny, silly and artistic. Richard Stislicki said she is the one everyone is drawn to during family gatherings because of her humorous life stories.

“Imagine in a moment in your life someone pulls a rug from underneath your feet,” Ann Stislicki said. “It is incredible. There’s no eating. There’s no sleep.”

Police say Danielle was last seen leaving her job around 5 p.m. Friday at MetLife on Telegraph, north of 10 Mile, in Southfield. She had asked to leave work earlier than scheduled and had plans to meet up with a longtime female friend, police said. Stislicki was driving a mud-covered black 2015 Jeep Renegade, police said. She never showed up for the meeting.

“We don’t believe Danielle would have run away,” said police Chief Chuck Nebus. “There weren’t any mental illnesses or anything like that. We are very concerned for her safety.”

The woman’s friend had grown concerned when she hadn’t heard from Stislicki, so she went to her home around 6 p.m. Saturday at the Independence Green Apartment Complex in the area of Halsted and Grand River, police said. Stislicki’s vehicle was parked about 10 feet from her front door.

Her purse was still inside the locked vehicle.

“We found no signs of a struggle or foul play or anything that stood out,” Nebus said.

There are 12 police agencies involved in the case, including the FBI, Michigan State Police, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and the South Oakland Narcotics Intelligence Consortium. Collectively, hundreds of hours have been spent on the investigation, Nebus said, declining to give specifics on what they’ve been doing.

Police are looking for anyone who may have seen Stislicki leaving her job or who may have seen her vehicle on Friday night or Saturday. They are also looking for a key charm with a yellow smiley face and a green body and Stislicki’s Samsung Galaxy Core Prime phone in a rose-colored case.

Two rewards are being offered for information.

Supporters have launched a GoFundMe page to raise money for a reward to generate tips. As of Wednesday evening, donors had pledged more than $17,000.

“Danielle is a wonderful human being who has many family and friends who love her dearly,” a post on the website read. “We want Dani home and need everyone’s help. Thank you for any financial assistance you can offer. We truly appreciate it.”

Independence Green Apartment Complex also has offered a $50,000 reward.

Stislicki is described as 5-foot-5, white, weighing 123 pounds with wavy, medium-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black zip-up shirt, a blue Eddie Bauer coat and burgundy boots.
