Lawyer: Woman accused of killing twin to OK extradition

Albany, N.Y. — A woman accused of killing her twin sister by driving their SUV off a cliff in Hawaii won’t fight extradition from upstate New York.

The lawyer for Alexandria Duval says she plans to waive her right to a hearing during a court appearance Friday. That would clear the way for her to return to Hawaii, where she faces a second-degree murder charge.

Authorities say Alexandria Duval was driving a sport utility vehicle in May with her sister, Anastasia, in the passenger seat when the vehicle crashed into a rock wall and plunged about 200 feet.

Duval lawyer Kevin K. O’Brien says she is anxious to get back to Hawaii to defend herself.

Duval was arrested in Albany last month.

The sisters were born in the Utica, New York, area.
