A man unhappy with his cable provider allegedly pulled a gun on two Comcast employees before later shooting a man in a second assault last month, according to the Clinton Township Police Department.

James Frederick Eichelburger, 21, is accused of pointing a weapon at two Comcast technicians around 7 p.m. Nov. 8 on Village Road in Clinton Township, police said. The employees were working in the area when Eichelburger allegedly approached and indicated he was "not happy with his Comcast service."

Two days later, Eichelburger allegedly shot a 19-year-old Clinton Township man around 12:30 a.m., also on Village Road. He was in a vehicle with other people when the victim spotted him, police said. Eichelburger then stepped out of the car, fired a shot in the air, and shot the victim as the man was running away, according to police.

The victim's friend rushed him to Macomb McLaren hospital for treatment to a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the chest.

Eichelburger was arrested Friday and charged in both incidents: two counts assault with a dangerous weapon for the confrontation with Comcast employees and one count assault with intent to murder for the shooting. Eichelburger also faces a felony firearm in the second incident.

Clinton Township police worked to identify the suspect with the FBI Macomb County Violent Crimes Task Force.

Eichelburger was arraigned Monday before 41-B District Court Magistrate Daniel Goulette, who set a $1 million bond in the shooting case. The suspect recieved an additional $75,000 bond in the alleged threat against Comcast employees.
