Kanye West meets with Donald Trump

Rapper Kanye West visited Trump Tower on Tuesday to meet with President-elect Donald Trump. West, who was recently hospitalized for exhaustion, wouldn’t answer questions from reporters regarding if he had plans to perform at Trump’s inauguration. TMZ reports that sources say West has plans to work with Trump about quieting the violence in Chicago. After the election, West confused fans by telling an audience at one of his California concerts that he did not vote, but he would have voted for Trump. (West attended a Hillary Clinton fundraiser with wife Kim Kardashian last year and the three took a selfie together.) “I just want to take a picture right now,” West said while he was with Donald Trump on Tuesday, CNN reported. According to transition spokeswoman Hope Hicks, West called the meeting. Trump called West a “good man” and said that they are friends. Trump said the two “discussed life,” but would not elaborate. Sports legends Ray Lewis and Jim Brown also met with Trump today, both escorted upstairs by reality star Omarosa.
