2 die in 3-car crash in Sterling Heights

Two people have died after a three-car crash Monday morning in the area of Ryan and 17 Mile in Sterling Heights, police said.
More details are expected to be released later Monday, said Lt. James Belmonte of the Sterling Heights Police Department.
All that’s known about the crash at this point is that it involved multiple vehicles, took place in the 11 o’clock hour and left at least two people — a middle-aged man, and a middle-aged woman — dead.
“We’re making notifications now,” Belmonte said.
At this point police aren’t sure whether weather was a factor, Belmonte said.
Ryan is closed in the area of the crash, between Fox Hill and 17 Mile, and will be for hours to come.
