Tigers go green for St. Patrick’s Day

Blurry-eyed already? Good for you! But don’t adjust your TV.

The Tigers, after all, are getting into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit, too.

For their 1:05 game Friday against the New York Yankees in Lakeland, Fla., the Tigers will be wearing green uniforms and green caps. You can check it out for yourselves, as the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit.

The jerseys still feature the Mike Ilitch memorial patch on the left sleeve, and have a shamrock on the right sleeve.

The hat features two shades of green, darker on the bill, with a shamrock on the side.

The Tigers have a whole line of St. Patrick’s Day gear at their team shop, with the official cap selling for $37.99 and the jerseys for $99.99. There also are t-shirts and hoodies.
