Report: Michigan RB Kingston Davis to transfer

The Detroit News

Michigan running back Kingston Davis plans to transfer to another school, according to a report Friday by Michigan insider Sam Webb of WTKA (1050-AM).

Webb said Davis’ father had informed him of his plans to transfer, because of two reasons.

1) Michigan’s depth at the position; and

2) Coaches’ plans to move Davis to fullback.

Davis, a 6-foot-1, 245-pound freshman, is a native of Prattville, Ala. He saw action in two games this past season, with two rushing attempts for 18 yards. Both of his carries came in the early season victory over Hawaii.

Before arriving at Michigan, Rivals.com ranked Davis, 19, a three-star prospect, and the 15th-best prospect in the state of Alabama.
