Allen Park — On the second day of the draft, the Detroit Lions will have a former player and current one announce the team’s second- and third-round selections.

Second-round picks are scheduled to be announced by Hall of Famers and the Lions will be represented by cornerback Lem Barney. Drafted by the Lions in the second round of the 1967 draft, Barney was named to the Pro Bowl seven times in 11 seasons. His 56 career interceptions are the second-most in franchise history.

In the third round, the NFL will honor last year’s Walter Payton Man of the Year nominees, meaning safety Don Carey will announce Detroit’s selection.
