There’s a very long way to go before the 2018 NFL draft, but ESPN’s Mel Kiper has an early look at the top prospects at each position.

Kiper breaks down each position with a list of top seniors and a list of top underclassmen (juniors and draft-eligible third-year sophomores).

Michigan’s Maurice Hurst rates as Kiper’s top senior defensive tackle and UM’s Khalid Hill is the No. 2 senior fullback.

Hurst has appeared in 33 games the last three seasons, with 7.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss. Hill, from Detroit, was second on the team last season with 78 points, on 13 touchdowns.

Mason Cole, Michigan’s starting center in 2016, is expected to move back to tackle in 2017 and checks in at No. 3 on Kiper’s list of top senior offensive tackles. At No. 4 is Western Michigan’s Chukwuma Okorafor.

Michigan State’s Brian Allen is the No. 5 senior center and Michigan’s Mike McCray is the No. 5 senior outside linebacker.

Finally, Eastern Michigan’s Austin Barnes is fourth among senior punters.

Here is Kiper's complete list of top prospects (pay site).
