Game 1 of Tigers-White Sox doubleheader postponed

Buck Farmer will start against the Angels on Wednesday.

Chicago – The make-up game from the rainout on April 5, which was supposed to be played as the first game of a doubleheader at Guaranteed Rate Field Friday, was postponed.

Heavy afternoon rains were forecasted in Chicago. The regularly scheduled game was still set to start at 8:10 p.m.

The April 5 make-up was moved ahead to Saturday. The Tigers and White Sox will now play a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 2:10 p.m.

Buck Farmer, who was recalled from Toledo as the 26th man, will make his start in Game 1 Saturday. Here is the adjusted rotation:

• Friday: Matthew Boyd

• Saturday: Farmer and Michael Fulmer

• Sunday: Jordan Zimmermann
