Police: Man left woman’s body in car in Detroit

Detroit police are working to find a man wanted in connection to the stabbing death of a 30-year-old woman.

Investigators allege Demetrius Montgomery left his red Ford Flex in the 6400 block of Colfax at about 11 p.m. Sunday with the victim’s body inside.

He then fled in a black 2007 GMC Yukon with a Michigan license plate number of DRR6262, police said in a statement.

The 37-year-old may be en route to Alabama, according to the release.

Authorities have not described Montgomery’s relationship to the woman or released additional details.
