Matthew Stafford is full participant in Lions practice
Allen Park — If you’ve been holding your breath since last Sunday, you can let out a sigh of relief. Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, despite the ankle injury he suffered in the team’s loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Stafford had been banged up in the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s game. He required extensive taping of his right ankle after absorbing six sacks in the loss.
Not practicing for the Lions were defensive end Ziggy Ansah (knee), guard T.J. Lang (back) and linebacker Paul Worrilow (knee). All three had missed practice time in previous weeks, but only Worrilow was sidelined against Carolina.
Lions place Ngata on IR; season could be over
Returning to practice were rookie wide receiver Kenny Golladay and running back Dwayne Washington. Golladay has missed the past two games with a hamstring strain while Washington has been sidelined three weeks with a quad injury. Both were limited.
Also limited on Wednesday were linebacker Tahir Whitehead (pectoral), safety Glover Quin (groin) and right tackle Rick Wagner (shoulder).
