Red Wings' Mike Green gets All-Star game nod

Detroit — Mike Green is headed to the NHL All-Star Game.
The veteran defenseman was the lone Red Wings’ selection for the game in Tampa Jan. 28.
Green, 32, leads Red Wings defensemen with 24 points (4 goals, 20 assists), in 41 games, leading the team averaging 22 minutes, 39 seconds of ice time.
This will be Green’s second All-Star appearance, the last one being in 2011.
