Waugh Cellars Wine Dinner at Ocean Prime: Executive chef Sean Force has developed a special menu featuring jumbo shrimp, king salmon, slow-braised short rib and domestic lamb. Each selection is paired with a vintage from Waugh Cellars. Wines will be sold by the glass or bottle. Slice for Life at Buddy’s Pizza: Buddy’s Pizza has raised $3 million for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen with the annual Slice for Life fundraiser. Voyager named one of the best: Food & Wine has named Ferndale hot spot Voyager one of its 10 restaurants of the year. The 39-seat seafood restaurant is the only Michigan business on their list.

Zingerman’s Candy comes to MotorCity: Lacquer, the hotel gift shop at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, has teamed up with Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory. A selection of the Ann Arbor business’ products, like chocolate-covered peanut brittle, are available as gift boxes and party tins at the hotel.

Gratzi Midland opens: Restaurant group Mainstreet Ventures opened Gratzi in Midland this week. The public grand opening is at 4 p.m. Thursday at 120 E. Main in Midland. Mainstreet Ventures has a Gratzi in Ann Arbor, and also operates Real Seafood Company and the Chop House in Ann Arbor and other cities.
