MSU adds Western Kentucky to 2021 football schedule
Michigan State’s 2021 football schedule is set.
The Spartans announced Thursday they have added Western Kentucky to their 2021 schedule, setting up the first meeting between the programs on Oct. 2, 2021, in East Lansing.
Western Kentucky has been an FBS member since 2007, and has made bowl appearances the past four seasons, including a 27-17 loss to Georgia State last season in the Cure Bowl in Orlando, Fla. The Hilltoppers finished 6-7.
It’s Michigan State’s third nonconference opponent scheduled for the season, joining a home game Sept. 11 against Youngstown State and road game Sept. 18 at Miami (Fla.).
