Larkin assists twice in USA's rout of South Korea

In what amounted to a scrimmage  and even that’s being kind  Team USA defeated South Korea, 13-1, Friday at the men’s hockey world championships in Denmark.

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin (two assists) and Nick Jensen (one assist), and local players Alec Martinez (Rochester) and Alex DeBrincat (Farmington Hills) both had two assists, contributing to the easy victory.

Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks) and Charlie McAvoy (Boston Bruins) both had two goals and three assists.

The U.S. outshot South Korea, 57-13.

Team USA is undefeated through five games, with two shootout victories. South Korea, a developing hockey nation, has yet to win through five games at the tournament.

The U.S. faces Norway (1-3-1) Sunday at 10:15 a.m. (NHL Network).
