Michigan State and Michigan are going down to the wire for the state’s top 2019 basketball recruit.

New Haven’s Romeo Weems announced his final five on Twitter Saturday, with the Spartans and Wolverines both making the cut along with Ohio State, Oregon and DePaul.

He added he will announce his commitment via Instagram at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Weems (6-foot-7, 215 pounds), a four-star wing, is rated the No. 33 prospect in the nation for 2019 by Rivals and No. 37 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

He was named The Associated Press Class B Player of the Year for the second straight season after averaging 23.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists this past season. He also led New Haven to a 52-game win streak before falling to Grand Rapids Catholic Central in the state semifinals.
