JR JR, Saint Motel to play free concerts at Beacon Park 

Royal Oak-based pop/rock band JR JR will kickoff a series of free concerts at Beacon Park. The nationally-known band will perform June 16 at an event that also includes food trucks, lawn games and a vendor market. Lumen restaurant at Beacon Park will serve craft beer and cocktails.  On July 21, a free concert by indie pop band Saint Motel will mark the one-year anniversary of the park. The band that will perform for the third concert in the series, on Aug. 18, will be announced soon. Bob Seger announces plans to resume tour

An on-the-mend Bob Seger will resume his postponed tour in late fall, his team announced Monday. The singer shelved a series of tour dates last year after “an urgent medical issue concerning (Seger’s) vertebrae” required tending to. Specific makeup dates began rolling out on Monday, including Dec. 20 in Greenville, South Carolina (originally slated for Oct. 5, 2017), Dec. 22 in Atlanta (Oct. 7) and Jan. 19 in Columbus, Ohio (Sept. 20). Further concerts will be announced via Seger's website and Facebook page. Seger's reps and promoters worked to match concerts to specific days in each city — i.e. shows scheduled on a Saturday were aimed to be made up on Saturdays — according to a member of Seger's management team. Tickets for the original concerts will be honored at the makeup dates. No Detroit date is scheduled on the tour. Seger played The Palace of Auburn Hills in September 2017, the final concert staged at the Detroit Pistons' former home. Seger released "I Knew You When," his 18th studio album, in November. 

Alec Baldwin's latest child is here

The newest addition to the Baldwin clan is Romeo Alejandro David Baldwin, born last week to Hilaria and Alec Baldwin. The baby is the fourth child for the couple, who were married in 2012. The actor also has a older daughter, Ireland Baldwin, 22, with ex-wife Kim Basinger. Hilaria posted a photo of herself on Instagram showing off her post-pregnancy body. "My purpose here is to normalize the postpartum figure and over the next days, weeks, and months, show you how I strengthen my body and return to my non pregnant self," she wrote. 

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend reveal name of newborn son

In other baby news, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have a baby boy to go with their 2-year-old daughter, Luna. Teigen, 32, and Legend, 39, whose real name is John Roger Stephens, introduced Miles Theodore Stephens to the world Sunday. On Instagram, she wrote that she and Legend are “drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles” and their “household feels overwhelmed with love.”
