All eight of those practices will be held at 9:30 a.m., with gates opening at 8:30 a.m.

The Lions will then head out on the road for joint practices with the Raiders on Aug. 7-8, prior to the teams' preseason opener on August 10.

The Lions return home for joint practices with the New York Giants, Aug. 14-16. All three will be open to the public, with the first just for season-ticket holders. Those practices are tentatively scheduled to begin a half-hour earlier, at 9 a.m., with gates opening at 8 a.m.

Only outdoor practices will be open. In the case of inclement weather, practice will be moved inside the team's practice facility and closed to the public.
