Metro Detroit food truck to compete on Food Network

Three Metro Detroiters Michelle Gautier, Chelsea Smith and Marley Vanderbrook and their Asian-inspired food truck Mobile Moo Shu have been chosen to compete on this season of “The Great Food Truck Race” on Food Network. They’ll battle other food trucks from around the country, testing their cooking skills and business savvy. The last truck standing wins $50,000. The ninth season of reality series, which is hosted by Tyler Florence, premieres 9 p.m. July 26 on Food Network. 

Cardi B gives birth to a girl 

Rapper Cardi B, 25, took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the birth of her first child. Her daughter's father is Cardi B's husband, rapper Offset from the hip-hop group Migos. They named the child Kulture Kiari Cephus (Offset's real name is Kiari Cephus). This is the fourth child for Offset, 26. Fans are eagerly awaiting photos of the infant. The "Bodak Yellow" singer announced the news with photos from a shoot she did while pregnant. 

Traffic advisory issued for Friday and Saturday

313Presents has issued a warning to ticketholders to downtown events Friday and Saturday that traffic may be heavier than usual. On Friday, Little Caesars Arena will host Big3 basketball, while Journey and Def Leppard pack Comerica Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. for both events. On Saturday, Panic! At the Disco hits Little Caesars Arena and Zac Brown Band is at Comerica Park. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for Panic and 5:30 p.m. for Zac Brown. 313Presents recommends securing parking in advance via ParkWhiz.com.
