Justin Verlander, Kate Upton expecting first child

Supermodel Kate Upton and Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander announced they are expecting their first child. 

The 26-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model broke the news on her Instagram Saturday tagging her husband. In the photo, Upton is sporting a baby bump while wearing a red and white pantsuit. 

"#PregnantinMiami @justinverlander," she wrote.

Verlander, 35, a former Detroit Tigers pitcher, reposted the photo, replying to his wife "You're going to be the most amazing Mom."

"I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much," Verlander wrote. 

The couple married in November in Tuscany and shared the day in a Vogue spread.
