Man, 21, stabbed during argument on Michigan Ave.

A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed in his chest early Sunday morning on Michigan Avenue in Detroit.

The stabbing took place about 2:40 a.m. on the 6500 block of Michigan Ave., police said. That's west of Livernois.

Police arrived to find a man hunched over the victim, trying to help him, and learned that the victim and another man, whose identity is not yet known, were arguing. At some point the man pulled out a large knife and stabbed the victim on the right side of his chest.

Medics arrived and took the victim to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
