Jack Morris jerseys arrive for pickup; Tigers add 2 tickets to home game

The Detroit News

Jack Morris' number is on the wall at Comerica Park, and his jersey is now available to fans.

A "shipping" issue prevented the Tigers on Sunday from distributing replica road Morris jerseys to the first 10,000 fans who arrived at Comerica Park for the retirement of the former Detroit ace's number.

Jack Morris speaks during the special pregame ceremony to retire the No. 47 of former Tigers ace and Hall of Fame pitcher Jack Morris on Sunday at Comerica Park.

On Monday, the Tigers announced that those jerseys have arrived.

Fans who received vouchers for the jerseys have three options they can utilize to redeem them. They are:

■ Visit the guest services kiosk near section 130 at Comerica Park during any Tigers game
■ Visit the Comerica Park Box Office during normal business hours
■ Mail the voucher and a size preference (L or 2XL) to
Detroit Tigers Promotions Department
2100 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI, 48201

In addition, everyone who redeems a voucher will receive an additional voucher for two complimentary tickets to a future Tigers game. To redeem that voucher, fans must visit the Comerica Park box office. They will be able to choose from any of the remaining home games during this season, as well as any home game at Comerica Park in April and May of 2019, except for Aug. 26 and Sept. 8 of this season, and Opening Day next season.

On Sunday, Aug. 26, the Tigers will give away another 10,000 replica road jerseys, of Alan Trammell's No. 3. Trammell's number will be retired before that day's game against the Chicago White Sox.

The Tigers will honor the 1968 World Series champions on Sept. 8.

Anyone with questions regarding the jersey or ticket voucher redemption process can call the Tigers at
313-471-BALL, or visit the Comerica Park box office.
