The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that took place Saturday night on Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, during which the victim was shot four times and his vehicle was left with 14 bullet holes.

But police are finding cooperation from the victim difficult.

The shooting happened about 6:45 p.m. on the 700 block of Orchard Lake Road, just south of Voorheis. The victim, a 20-year-old Pontiac man, was stopped at a red light when a gold Chevy Equinox pulled up to his right and stopped.

Three men got out of the Equinox and started shooting at his vehicle. Then they returned to their vehicle and drove off, and the Equinox was last seen entering the Seminole Hills neighborhood, which is north of the scene of the shooting.

The victim's beige sedan took 14 bullet holes and the victim was hit twice in the leg, once in the arm, and once in the hand. Medics transported him to McLaren Oakland hospital, and he was listed in stable condition.

The victim has refused to cooperate with the investigation, authorities said.
