The NBA offseason is coming to an end.

The Pistons announced Monday that they will begin training camp next week, beginning with media day on Monday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, then continuing Tuesday through Saturday at the Crisler Center on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor.

Pistons coach Dwane Casey, in his first season, is implementing a change, as the Pistons previously had opened the season at their practice facility in Auburn Hills.

The move to Ann Arbor could be a sign that he’s looking to start all of the players on equal footing, in different surroundings away from their normal environment.

The Pistons return most of the roster that finished 39-43 last season and missed the playoffs for the second straight season. Casey, though, is coming off a 59-win season with the Toronto Raptors, which earned him NBA coach of the year honors.
