MSU quarterback Brian Lewerke drops back to pass against the Wolverines at Michigan Stadium last year.

Michigan and Michigan State will renew their in-state college football rivalry on Saturday at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing at noon.

The No. 24-ranked Spartans have won eight of the last 10 games between the two teams but the No. 6-ranked Wolverines have won six straight games this year, including last week's 38-13 triumph over Wisconsin.

In this week's Detroit News College Football Show, Bob Wojnowski, Angelique S. Chengelis and Matt Charboneau preview the big game with help from analysts Chris Howard and Nick Hill.

They also get a special visit from Barney the dinosaur, who UM coach Jim Harbaugh referenced on 97.1 FM on Wednesday morning when discussing the teaching approach by offensive line coach Ed Warinner.
