Lions running back Theo Riddick tries to break the grasp of Packers' Oren Burks in the second quarter of the game this month.

Allen Park — The Detroit Lions were down just one player during Thursday's practice, with running back Theo Riddick sidelined for the second consecutive day.

Riddick popped up on the practice report with a knee injury this week. It's not known whether the injury was suffered during the team's Week 5 victory over the Packers or during last week's bye.

Riddick played a season-low 19 snaps against the Packers. He's averaged nearly 27 on the season. He's carried the ball eight times, while catching 23 passes for 138 yards.

If Riddick is unable to play against the Dolphins this week, it opens the door for Ameer Abdullah to have a larger role.

A healthy scratch the first four games, Abdullah was active and served as the Lions kick returner against the Packers. The team's leading rusher from a year ago, he has yet to play an offensive snap this season.
