Bobcat Bonnie's in Ferndale opens Friday.

Popular gastropub Bobcat Bonnie's will open its third location Friday in Ferndale.

Owner Matthew Buskard took over the space in September after Zeke's Rock and Roll BBQ closed its doors on Sept. 12. He and his staff — some of whom will be kept from Zeke's — have been working on updating the space with new floors and ceilings and a new rainbow mural on the restaurant's west wall.

Buskard, who has Bobcat Bonnie's locations in Corktown and Wyandotte, said he'll start with dinner service, and roll out lunch and brunch a few weeks later. The restaurant features a full bar and will offer its famous loaded tots, burgers, fried goat cheese balls and Cap'n Crunch chicken fingers.

Starting hours will be 4 p.m.-midnight Wed.-Thurs., 4 p.m.-1 a.m. Fri.-Sat. and 4-10 p.m. Sun. Bobcat Bonnie's Ferndale is at 240 W. Nine Mile. Call (248) 677-0158 or visit bobcatbonnies.com
