Lions' Ansah downgraded to out, will miss fifth straight game

Miami — The Detroit Lions have ruled out defensive end Ziggy Ansah for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He had previously been listed as questionable.

It will mark the fifth straight game Ansah has been sidelined after suffering a shoulder injury in the season opener.

Ansah, who led the Lions with 12 sacks last season, talked to the media on Friday and said last week's bye came at a good time and he was feeling "pretty good," but his availability would be a coach's decision.

With Ansah out, it likely means another big workload for Romeo Okwara. The early-season waiver claim has played most of the snaps at defensive end during Ansah's extended absence.
