Man killed, woman arrested in Harper Woods

Harper Woods — A 43-year-old man was fatally shot and a 23-year-old woman was arrested early Sunday in Harper Woods, police said.

Harper Woods police were dispatched to the 21400 block of Kingsville at about 6 a.m. Sunday, where they found a man who'd been shot several times. That block of Kingsville is north of Moross and east of Interstate 94.

Jim Burke, director of public safety for Harper Woods, said the suspect and victim shared a "domestic relationship."

Medics transported the shooting to St. John Hospital, Burke said, where he died from his injuries. 

A Harper Woods woman was arrested at the scene, and the gun allegedly used in the shooting was recovered. Her arraignment is expected to happen Tuesday, Burke said.
