Recap: Ohio State dominates Michigan State, 34-10

Michigan State is undaunted by going to Ohio State as a big underdog in the game at Ohio Stadium, which gets underway Saturday night at 7:30. Follow the action here with live updates and analysis by Matt Schoch of The Detroit News.

That's it from Columbus. The Buckeyes closed out another big win at Ohio Stadium.

Dueling turnovers gives OSU ball

Michigan State punts, rinse, repeat.

But Ohio State fumbled the ball away, and the Spartans got it back. Kenny Willekes, who has been very quiet tonight, was in on the forced fumble.

Then, on the next play, Jordan Fuller intercepted a tipped Brian Lewerke pass. He took it back for a touchdown, but it was called back on a blindside block. Ohio State ball.

MSU Panasiuk brothers hurt as hopes dim 

Ohio State appears to have won this one, but Michigan State's losses could linger awhile.

Mike Panasiuk went down with an injury but appeared to be walking off on his own power as ABC went to commercial. A few plays later, his brother Jacub Panasiuk went down with an injury.

Good news: Mike Panasiuk returned to the game after his younger brother went down.

J.K. Dobbins runs in for a short Buckeyes' touchdown, but it was overturned on replay.

On the next play, Justin Fields ran it in from 1 yard out.

Ohio State forces punt as third ends

Brian Lewerke stood in the pocket and delivered a great throw to Cody White for a first down to midfield.

But Baron Browning's sack helped force another Michigan State punt, which will come on the first play of the fourth quarter.

By the way, fans were non too pleased with Michigan State's wildcat call on the last drive, wasting a second-down play.

Buckeyes still in control late in third

Could the INT give MSU life? It could not.

The offense squandered Josiah Scott's interception and Ohio State took the ball back.

Michigan State's defense forced another punt though, and the Spartans take over inside their 35.

But the clock ticked a lot there.

Josiah Scott is the first player to intercept Justin Fields in his Ohio State tenure (now six games).

The Spartans desperately need to capitalize and continue to make big plays.

Coghlin misses 27-yarder... ugh

On the first drive of the second half, Michigan State has to settle for the field goal, and Matt Coghlin misses a 27-yarder.

Passes to tight ends Matt Seybert and Trent Gillison highlighted the drive for the Spartans.

Ohio State takes 27-10 lead to halftime

Michigan State punted again, and Ohio State closed the first half with a Blake Haubeil field goal from 43 yards.

The field goal came after OSU missed a third-down conversion for the first time on the night on its sixth try.

Dobbins breaks out for long TD

J.K. Dobbins took a third-and-2 carry 67 yards for an Ohio State touchdown. Xavier Henderson misses the tackle.

Spartans respond with field goal

Matt Coghlin nailed a 39-yard field goal for the Spartans.

During the drive, C.J. Hayes caught a great pass from Brian Lewerke for a first down. Darrell Stewart Jr. then took a crossing route for big yardage near the OSU 20.

Buckeyes take 10-point lead

Junior tight end Like Farrell ran for a 21-yard touchdown, bulldozing his way through the MSU defense near the goal line.

Quarterback Justin Fields ran for a 35-yard Ohio State gain, another explosive play for the Buckeyes. He then ran for another first down inside the MSU 10 to set up the score.

MSU responds with Stewart TD

Darrell Stewart caught a slant route from Brian Lewerke for Michigan State, a 20-yard touchdown.

An Elijah Collins run and Matt Seybert reception gives MSU a pair of first downs, reaching the Ohio State red one for the first time on the night.

Ohio State gets 60-yard touchdown

Ohio State's offense finally exploded.

Justin Field found Binjimen Victor for a 60-yard touchdown after a QB rollout. Victor lost the ball near the goal line, but replay confirmed the touchdown, which almost resulted in a Michigan State touchback.

Buckeyes take over, up 3-0

The Spartans fall short on a third-and-long.

Ohio State takes over inside its 15.

Spartans driving after one, down 3-0

Michigan State is moving the ball as the first quarter came to an end.

A Darrell Stewart reception and an Anthony Williams Jr. carry resulted in MSU first downs.

Spartans have a third-and-11 to open the second.

Spartans' defense getting it done

Freshman wide receiver Garrett Wilson got the Buckeyes first first down on a reception. Michigan State's Mike Panasiuk then got called for a personal foul after grabbing the facemask of quarterback Justin Fields.

Ohio State's Binjimen Victor dropped a would-be touchdown, helping to force a punt.

MSU takes over at its own 24.

MSU finally gets first downs, no points

Michigan State quarterback Brian Lewerke ran for the game's first first down on the game's sixth possession.

After that, tight end Trent Gillison caught a crossing pattern for a third-down pickup for Brad Salem's offense.

However, Ohio State forced a Spartans' punt from about near midfield. OSU takes over near its 5.

Ohio State on board first, 3-0

Ohio State kicker Blake Haubeil gets the Buckeyes on the board this time.

After pushing his first attempt wide right, the kicker drains his second chance, splitting the uprights from 39 yards. The Michigan State defense held strong after a second turnover though, keeping the Buckeyes from getting a first down for the third straight possession.

Elijah Collins dropped a pitch from Brian Lewerke, and Ohio State has recovered a second Michigan State fumble.

Ohio State can't capitalize on the Michigan State turnover.

Ohio State kicker Blake Haubeil pushed a 37-yard field goal after the Buckeyes couldn't get a first down.

Early fumble by MSU's Cody White

After a great MSU start defensively, wide receiver Cody White fumbled it away to the Buckeyes, giving Ohio State great field position.

Michigan State got a three-and-out, forcing quarterback Justin Fields to a short run, an incomplete pass, and a big loss on a sack.

The Spartans take over at their own 27.

Report: Matt Seybert headed to the locker room

Michigan State tight end Matt Seybert went back to the locker room during pre-game warmups, according to Free Press writer Chris Solari.

Seybert scored two touchdowns two weeks ago at Northwestern.
